Marion Earl Honeycutt, of Elizabethton, Tenn., turned 71 on March 14, 2024, and went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, March 29, 2024.
Earl graduated from Hampton High School and worked 18 years for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. Affectionately known as “Squirrely Earlie”, he was a loving brother and a friend to so many and a hard worker! He loved to fish, shoot pool, play cards, agitate and aggravate! We are going to miss him so much.
Earl was preceded in death by his father and mother, Floyd and Ludella Honeycutt, and brother, Carl Honeycutt.
Survivors include his sisters, Geraldine Hinkle, Linda Honeycutt and Ruth Ann Lindsey and husband Darrell; brother, Jackie Glenn Honeycutt and wife Sue; sister-in-law, Linda Kay Honeycutt; ex-wife, Jackie Phillips Honeycutt; nephews, Gary Hinckle and wife Tracy, Omar Hinckle, Daniel Grindstaff and wife Kristen, Michael Grindstaff, Scott Honeycutt, Jason Davis and David Bass and wife Dena; nieces, Carla Honeycutt, Lisa Marie Grindstaff and Ashley Honeycutt; and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will have a memorial service later when all the family can be together. The date and location will be announced in the paper for those who wish to come.
Thank you to all who were so good to our brother.
