On March 27, Johnson City Police Department officers arrested Oscar Gomez, 48, Johnson City, on charges of sexual battery.

The arrest followed an incident on Dec. 20, 2023, when officers responded to a report at 1805 W. State of Franklin Road involving a juvenile female. The victim informed officers that Gomez had allegedly touched her inappropriately against her will. A subsequent investigation into the complaint led to Gomez’s arrest.

Gomez was transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
