Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hodge will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.

Richard and Phyllis Peters Hodge were married at Unaka Baptist Church by Rev. Earl Campbell on March 19, 1964.

Richard is retired from Great Lakes Research and the Elizabethton City School system, and Phyllis is retired from the Carter County School system.

They are the parents of two daughters, Sherri (Jeff) Hardin and Robin (Johnny) Ensor. They have six grandchildren, Sarah (Dr. Weston) Colbaugh of Winston-Salem, N.C., Madison (Nick) Fender, John-Wesley (Kiana) Hardin, Macy Ensor, Rebekah Hardin and the late Jesse Hardin.

Mr. and Mrs. Hodge will celebrate their anniversary with a family dinner at the Little Dutch Restaurant in Morristown.
