Warriors have solid day at Patriot Preview track meet

Although the results may not have been exactly what they wanted for the day, the Happy Valley Warrior track team had some impressive performances at the Patriot Preview track meet at Sullivan East High School.
Kaydence Carroll recorded a pair of second-place finishes as the Lady Warriors took second in the 400 meters in a time of 1:08.48, followed by a second place in the triple jump with a leap of 32-3.75.
Marcida Moore, a familiar face in state track and field competitions, secured a second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 18.30. She also contributed to a third-place finish in the 4×200-meter relay with a time of 1:58.84 and a fifth-place showing in the 4×100-meter relay as the Lady Warriors crossed the finish line in 57.78.
On the boys’ side of competition, Warrior Colby McNabb clinched a first-place finish in the boys’ 200 meters, sandwiched between a fourth-place finish in the 100 meters. He also played a part in a fourth-place finish with his team in the 4×100-meter relay with a time of 48.26.
The Lady Warriors finished the day in sixth place overall with a team score of 43, while the boys claimed the fifth spot with a team score of 28.
