Mack D. Hambrick, 84, of Carter County, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly at Johnson City Medical Center on February 23, 2024.  Mack was the son of the late Clyde Hambrick and Corabell (Kyte) Hambrick. 

Mack was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.  Mack was very close to his brother John before he passed.

Mack was a proud veteran of the Army. He had worked as a cook for many years. He loved to cook even after he wasn’t doing it as a job. Mack enjoyed listening to gospel music and his records.  He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children; Eddie Peters and wife Nicole, Rickey Peters; the mother of his children, Linda Hambrick; Grandchildren, Chance Peters, Alyssa Bailey, Kali Peters, Sarah Peters, E.J. Peters; great-grandchildren, Samuel Dinkins, Ariel Bailey, Guinn Freeman, and Maverick Freeman, a brother Junior Hambrick; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members also survive and will miss him.

Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may donate to the Veterans Honor Guard, DAV #39 per the family’s request.

A graveside service will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 1 PM. The Family will be speaking in his honor. Pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends.  Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at The VA Mountain Home Cemetery at 12:50 pm on Tuesday.
