Johnson City man arrested for aggravated assault

JOHNSON CITY — Luther Moss, 55, of Johnson City, was arrested by officers from the Johnson City Police Department on Dec. 23 and charged with one count of aggravated assault in a domestic incident.
Officers responded to a call around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 23 at the 2300 block of Browns Mill Road, following reports of a domestic assault. According to the victim, identified as Moss’s girlfriend, Moss allegedly struck her multiple times in the face. Additionally, she reported that Moss brandished a knife, threatening her life by placing it at her throat.
Moss is currently held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. His appearance was scheduled at the Washington County General Sessions Court on Dec. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
