The Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County hosted Teen Night on Thursday evening, providing a safe haven for teens and tweens to unwind from school stress and embrace their freedom to be themselves. The program offers special activities like Teen Nights, allowing teens to bring their gaming devices and engage with Club staff and friends. Pizza, soda, and desserts were enjoyed, alongside opportunities for painting and making slime, offering a fun and secure space for teens to connect with friends and enjoy their adolescence.
To better serve the teenage population, children aged 13 and older can access the Boys & Girls Club for free, benefiting from activities that foster social-emotional and independent living skills. Access to a gym and games room promotes healthy habits and social awareness among teens.
Nicole Hensley, the Teen Director, emphasized, “Teens can enter our doors knowing they have a secure place to enjoy their teenage years, preparing them for bright futures. My goal is for Carter County teens to transition into adulthood confidently, cherishing their memorable experiences at the Boys & Girls Club.”
