Carter County Sheriff’s Office reports recent arrests

The following arrests have been reported by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office:
- On November 13, Sergeant Robert Scott responded to an unresponsive female at Dollar General on Elizabethton Highway. Ms. Susie Leann Peterson was found slumped over in a white Ford Explorer. She attempted to conceal a pouch containing a glass pipe, commonly used for narcotics. Upon investigation, a crystal-like substance was found. Ms. Peterson was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine.
- On November 12, Sergeant Justin Johnson observed a black Ford Escape on Highway 19E moving slowly with a damaged tire. The driver, Amanda D. Hatley, showed signs of impairment, failed sobriety tests, and was arrested for Driving Under the Influence 1st.
- On November 11, Deputy Jared Shelton and Sergeant D. Brown responded to a break-in on Bob Ray Road. Mr. Robert Earl Ray resisted arrest, facing charges of Aggravated Criminal Trespass, Resisting Stop/Arrest, and Vandalism up to $1,000.
- On November 11, David Paul Andersen Jr. was transferred from Washington County Sheriff’s Office to Carter County Sheriff’s Office for a Failure to Appear warrant.
- On November 11, Gary Danell Gary Moreira was transferred from Washington County Sheriff’s Office to Carter County Sheriff’s Office by Deputy Christian Carrier for a Domestic Assault warrant.
- On November 10, Deputy Hunter Skalecki arrested Mr. Joseph A. Nickles at Tobacco Depot store for Violation of Probation.
- On November 10, Deputy Hunter Skalecki responded to Broad St. for a domestic assault and arrested Mr. Christopher Lynn Denny for Violation of Probation.
- On November 9, Deputy Philip Tremblay responded to a trespassing incident on Dalewood Rd. and arrested Mr. Tony Matthew Bartley for Violation of Probation.
- On November 8, Lieutenant Christopher Reichenbach arrested Mr. Robert Cody Bullwinkel for Violation of Order of Protection.
- On November 8, Deputy Hunter Skalecki arrested Mr. Joseph A. Nickles at 348 Broad Street for Violation of Probation.
- On November 8, Lieutenant Johnathan Blevins arrested Ms. Rebecca S. Lovell at the intersection of Bunker Hill and Hwy 19E for Violation of Probation.
- On November 8, Lieutenant Christopher Reichenbach, Deputy Locklear, and Deputy Huskins arrested Mr. Zachary James Philhower at Wilbur Dam Road for Violation of Probation.
- On November 6, Deputy Jared Shelton responded to a truck in a ditch near Valley Forge Baptist Church and arrested Mr. Lee A. Ball for Driving Under the Influence and Underage Consumption or Possession of Alcohol.
