Sharon Gay Hyder, 75, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Hyder; mother, Erma Arney and step-father John Arney.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and TJ Hyder. Niece Amber (Andrew) Mielke, their children, Jadarian, La’Niah and Raylen Mielke, nephew, Nick Burkhart, aunts Mabel Grindstaff and Darlene Smith, several cousins and good friend Peggy Bomar.

She was an active member of A Church Called Home and a graduate of Elizabethton High School and Edward’s Beauty School.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the awesome staff at Parkview Senior Living (west).

Cremated remains will be placed at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton, Tennessee, at a future date.
