Hale Community Ministries
Hale Community Ministries will have a celebration at 1301 Arney St., on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The celebration will commemorate 30 years of service in Carter County. The ministry, sponsored by the Watauga Association of Baptists, provides a variety of services.
Union Hill Free Will
No Name But His will be featured at a song service at 6 p.m. Sunday at Union Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Everyone is invited.
New Liberty Free Will
Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday at the 10:45 a.m. service at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church with the Edwards Family singing and in charge of the service.
Pastor Wesley Duncan and the congregation invite all former members and their families to attend this service and enjoy lunch after the service in the fellowship hall.
The church is located at 113 Peters Hollow Road near the Stoney Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an online and in-person worship service Sunday at the 11 a.m. service.
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Wheat and Tares” based on Matt. 13: 24-30.
The church is located at 119 West F St.
First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, has worship at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. The congregation has begun a study on the Bible book of Titus. Both the sermons and Sunday School lessons correlate with each other in this study.
Bible study is Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Also, a Men’s Breakfast is held quarterly on Saturday morning for food and fellowship. The next one will be Oct. 7 at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall. The cost is $6.
First Christian has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box can call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.
