Covered Bridge Days to run through Sunday

Covered Bridge Days kicked off on Friday morning and will run through Sunday as the City of Elizabethton welcomes fall to the area with one of its largest events.
Vendors were set up on Friday morning to greet early visitors who also were able to participate in a touch-a-truck event on the Elk Avenue Bridge along with tasting some of the best of the best in food truck offerings.
Sister Sadie took the stage Friday night, with Carson Peters and Iron Mountain taking the stage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, followed by Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers. Contemporary artist Colton Dixon will wrap up concerts on Sunday with a 5 p.m. concert.
All concerts are free to the public.
Along with vendors, Saturday will be filled with a beauty pageant and several groups of dancers performing throughout the day. Kids Island will provide a plethora of opportunities for children to participate in.
