The following arrests have been reported by the Johnson City Police Department:
Vandalism Suspect Arrested for Identity Theft
On September 12, Felicia Shrewsbury, Limestone, was arrested by the Johnson City Police Department during a vandalism investigation on West Lakeview Drive. Shrewsbury provided false identification multiple times and attempted to use social security numbers belonging to others. She revealed an active warrant in Washington County and was charged with two counts of identity theft and one count of criminal impersonation. Shrewsbury is in custody at the Washington County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
Neighbor Dispute Leads to Felony Drug Arrest
Marion Morrison, Johnson City, was arrested on felony drug charges on September 12 following a neighbor dispute at 165 Blakemore Circle. Officers investigating separate charges noticed a strong marijuana odor. They discovered four marijuana plants on the property, leading to Morrison’s arrest for manufacturing/delivering/selling a controlled substance (Schedule VI). He is held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
Domestic Assault and Child Endangerment Arrest
Ruben Belman-Preciado, Johnson City, was arrested on September 12 for domestic assault and child endangerment. Responding to a domestic disturbance, officers learned Belman-Preciado assaulted a pregnant woman holding a young child. He resisted arrest and was taken into custody. Belman-Preciado is held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
Multiple Offenses: Narcotics, Firearms, and Contraband
On September 13, David Taunton, Johnson City, was arrested and charged with narcotics and firearms-related offenses. Responding to a welfare check at 81 Charleston Square, officers discovered Taunton in possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. He was also found with ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and contraband. Taunton faces charges of unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and introducing contraband into a penal institution. He is held at Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
Shooting Incident Results in Arrests
In the early hours of September 16, a shooting occurred in the downtown square parking lot. Tarius J. Mott, Camilla, Ga., was arrested and charged with felony reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, improper display of registration, and driving on suspended License. Quintin Q. Sanders, a passenger, faces charges of felony reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct, and possession of a handgun while intoxicated. Both individuals are held with respective bonds of $11,500 and $20,500. Investigation continues as to a possible second shooter. Witnesses are urged to contact authorities with information.
Aggravated Domestic Assault Arrest
On September 16, Tervon Jackson, Johnson City, was arrested for aggravated domestic assault. Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 1308 Knob Creek Road, where Jackson choked the victim during an argument and threatened her with a handgun. Jackson is held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
Drug Charges Following Trespassing Incident
Tracye Ford, Johnson City, was arrested on September 18 for possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and a Schedule IV drug violation. Officers responded to Food City on N. State of Franklin Road regarding trespassing and discovered Ford in possession of methamphetamine, narcotics, and paraphernalia. Ford also had six outstanding warrants in Washington County and is held on a $5,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
