First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, has worship Sunday at 9:45 a.m.
Bible Study is each Wednesday at 6 p.m.
On Sept. 17, the congregation will begin a new study on the Bible book of Titus. The sermons and Sunday School lessons will correlate with other in this new study.
First Christian has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.
The church is located at 513 Hattie Avenue.
Michael Klaus is the minister.
Blue Springs Christian
Homecoming will be held Sunday, Sept. 17, at Blue Springs Christian Church.
The message for the morning service at 10:45 a.m. will be presented by Minister Andrew Church, after which dinner will be served in the fellowship hall.
Everyone is invited to attend, especially all former members.
There will be no evening service.
CCCMF Meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m at the Gap Creek Christian Church.
Ron Manuel, Director of Development at East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy, will be the guest speaker.
All Carter County Christian men are invited.
Phillippi Baptist
Phillip Missionary Baptist Church, 200 Horace Leftwich Lane, will have its 156th homecoming church anniversary celebration Sunday, Sept. 17, at 3 p.m. Prior to the service, a celebration dinner will be held at 1:30 p.m.
The guest speaker for the occasion will be the Rev. Aaron Murphy, Pastor of Thankful Baptist Church, Johnson City.
The theme of the homecoming celebration is “Equipped to serve: Put on the whole armor of God and witness a breakthrough anointing,” based on the scripture Ept. 6:10-11.
The pastor, the Rev. Frank Flowe, and the congregation invite the public to attend.
Faith Free Will
Mike Upright will present special singing Sunday at 6 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Johnson City.
The church is located at 25 Veterans Way, Johnson City.
The pastor is Rev. Randy English, and the public is invited.
Crabtree Free Will
Crabtree Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain, will celebrate homecoming Sept. 17 with a special service at 11 a.m.
The church invites everyone to attend, especially former pastors and their family.
The pastor is the Rev. Andrew McGuire.
Moore’s Chapel
Forgiven, a Bluegrass gospel group, will sing Sunday at 10 a.m. at Moore’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
The church is located at 101 Jim Deal Road, Elizabethton.
Willow Springs
Willow Springs Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Sept. 17.
The worship service is at 10 a.m., and Sacred Harmony will sing at 11 a.m. Lunch will follow the song service.
There will be no evening service.
All former pastors and members are invited to attend
Jacob Howell is serving the church as interim pastor.
Borderview Christian
Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, will host the 11th Annual Night of Praise Sunday, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m.
This is an exciting worship service of vocal and instrumental music as well as testimony and stories.
Worshipers at Borderview will mostly comprise the program, expressing their praise to the Lord.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Scott Fisher serves as Borderview’s senior minister.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an online and live worship service Sunday at 11 a.m.
The pastor, the Rev. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Fair For Whom” based on Matthew 20: 1-16.
Weekly events include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Adult Forum at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday.
The church is located at 119 West F St.
