Lisa Marie Watson, 64, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023, peacefully at her home in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Lisa was born January 27, 1959, to James and Reba (Stover) Watson in Fairfield, Conn.
She is survived by her son, Dewayne (Crystal) Blevins of Elizabethton, Tenn., and her significant other, William “Eddie” Fain of Elizabethton, Tenn.; her grandson, Chase Blevins (Aiden Blevins-brother) of Auburn, Ga.; her honorary granddaughters, Anazha Kincaid of Hinesville, Ga., Nevaeh Gilgore of Kingsport, Tenn., Sibella Kincaid of Kingsport, Tenn.; and special friends, Judy McAmis, Frances Bass and Jonnie Vines of Elizabethton, Tenn.
As a family monarch and pillar of the community, Lisa loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, and participating in numerous projects. Lisa was an outstanding cook and even more impressive homemaker. She was a dedicated hard-working mother to all who were in need.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, James and Reba Watson; her older brother, Michael Watson; and her younger, brother Allen Watson.
Other survivors include her brother, Donald Watson; her sisters, Gladys Glispie and Remell Watson; nephews, Robert Webster, Donayle Watson and Derek Watson; nieces, Evon Franklin, Amber (Aron) Lamerson, Natasha (Andrew) Whiteside, Carmell (Dewight Wieger) Woods and Tonya (Michael) Stewart; great-nephews, Robert Webster Jr., Roshon Webster, Archer Whiteside and Xander Whiteside; great-nieces, Amaya Watson, Addison McCoig, Aeriyana Webster and Kavaylee Webster; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of this remarkable woman’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 10, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 924 Johnson Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
