First Christian
First Christian Church, Elizabethton, has worship services at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday.
Bible study is held each Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Everyone is invited to the services.
First Christian also has a food pantry. Persons in need of a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.
The church is located at 513 Hattie Ave.
First Presbyterian
First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an in-person and online worship service Sunday at 11 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present a sermon entitled “Tales From A Rabbi” based on Matthew 11: 16-9 and 25-30.
Meditation is Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Martin Hall.
The church is located at 119 West F St.
Valley Forge Free Will
Gordon Mote, award winning Southern Gospel singer and piano virtuoso, will lead the 6 p.m. worship service Sunday, Sept. 17, at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church.
The public is invited.
The Rev. Randy Johnson is pastor.
Operation Christmas Child
A kick-off event for Operation Christmas Child will be held at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Irina Creek, an OCC shoebox recipient from the former Soviet Union, will share how a shoebox gift made a difference in her life.
Everyone is invited.
Beck Mountain
Homecoming will be held at Beck Mountain Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 10. The church is observing its 75th anniversary.
Garry Edwards will be preaching at the 11 a.m.worship service.
Lunch will be served immediately after the service.
