College-bound students and their families are invited to attend this year’s Tri-Cities College Fair, an annual event hosted by East Tennessee State University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The event draws participation from over 60 colleges and universities across the Southeast, and is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Freedom Hall Civic Center, located at 1320 Pactolas Road in Johnson City.
It is open to all area high school students, prospective transfer students and their families, and is free and open to the public. Representatives from regional two- and four-year institutions will be present, readily available to discuss admission prerequisites, scholarship opportunities, programs of study, life on campus and more.
“The goal of the Tri-Cities College Fair is simple: we want the event to be a space for students and their families to come in with questions and leave with a plan,” said Kristin Wright, director of undergraduate recruitment at ETSU. “It’s an opportunity to connect with so many different colleges in one place, and to talk to people who will champion students as they begin their higher education journey.”
This year, the fair is partnering with StriveScan to bring electronic student scanning to the event. StriveScan makes sharing student information with colleges fast and easy. Before the event, visit etsu.edu/admissions/tccf to build a StriveScan profile.
