Saturdays are fun days when it comes to flag football

There is nothing like getting up early on a Saturday morning to go to watch one’s favorite little athlete participate in flag football.
Saturday morning provided one of those days as boys and girls participated in flag football games at Elizabethton’s Citizens Bank Stadium as the field was marked off in four smaller fields for the action.
With mouthpieces snuggled tight in their mouth and flags attached to both sides of their hips, the youngsters took to the field and provided great entertainment for their parents and grandparents as they ran the football toward the end zone or chased an opponent trying to grab for one of the flags.
It wasn’t about winning or losing – just learning more about the game that some might endeavor to play as they grow through their childhood years.
