The Carter County Sheriff’s Office seeks public assistance in locating a potentially endangered missing man.
Michael David Mann was reported missing on Thursday, August 17, according to a statement from the Carter County Sheriff’s Office. Mann, last seen in the Biltmore area of Carter County at around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, is the subject of an ongoing missing persons investigation.
Mann, 36, requires vital medication for a medical condition. His abrupt departure from his residence without this medication raises concerns of a possible medical emergency. Due to his medical history, Mann is categorized as a Missing/Endangered individual.
Described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds, Mann has brown hair and hazel eyes. During his last sighting, he wore gray sweatpants, a short-sleeved blue striped shirt concealed by a long-sleeved green plaid shirt, and carried a black duffle bag.
Authorities urge anyone with information about Mann’s whereabouts to promptly contact the Carter County Sheriff’s Office at 423-542-1845 or reach Investigator Larry Vaughn at 423-542-2350.
