Limestone man arrested for aggravated burglary, domestic assault, burglary of vehicle

JONESBOROUGH – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary call early on Monday morning and arrested Jonathan Davis, 32, of Limestone, inside the residence.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, Davis is charged with aggravated burglary, burglary of a motor vehicle and domestic assault.
Upon arrival at the residence on Oak Timbers Road, deputies observed broken glass and a broken door frame. They entered the residence and located the subject asleep in a bedroom.
According to the victim, Davis broke into the victim’s vehicle allegedly searching for a firearm. Video evidence shows Davis ransacking the vehicle. He then kicked in the front door, shattering the glass storm door in the process. Once inside the home, he began vandalizing it before threatening bodily harm to the victim who had locked herself in a bedroom. Davis subsequently passed out in a separate bedroom.
Deputies apprehended and transported Davis to the Washington County Detention Center without incident. He is being held on a $30,000 bond and his first court appearance will be Aug. 7.
