Forrester to play in this week’s Challenge Tour event

ETSU men’s golf to be well represented at the British Challenge
CORNWALL, England – ETSU redshirt freshman Jenson Forrester (Wolverhampton, England) is gearing up to play in this week’s Challenge Tour event over in England.
Forrester and three Buccaneer men’s golf standouts are part of the field at the British Challenge, which begins Thursday at St. Mellion Estate in Cornwall, England. Joining Forrester in this week’s field include Rhys Enoch (2007-12), Mateusz Gradecki (2013-17) and Michael Stewart (2008-10).
Forrester, one of four amateurs in the field, will be one of the first golfers to tee off on Thursday as he goes out at 3:40 a.m. ET. Gradecki will follow at 5:20 a.m., while Stewart – who made the cut in his debut at the Open Championship – tees off at 9:15 a.m. and Enoch goes out at 9:55 a.m.
On Friday, Forrester tees off at 8:55 a.m. ET, while Stewart it out at 4 a.m., Enoch at 4:40 a.m. and Gradecki will be the last to go out as he starts at 10:35 a.m. ET.
Forrester redshirted this past 2022-23 season after coming off a 2021 campaign where he won both the English U18 Championship and the 2021 Midland Boys Championship. He also finished tied for eighth at the 2021 Carris Trophy.
Gradecki has played in six Challenge Tour events this season, along with 15 on the DP World Tour. The Buccaneer alum won the 2022 Limpopo Championship for his first career win on the Challenge Tour. Gradecki was a 2017 all-SoCon selection and helped guide the Bucs to three straight SoCon Championships from 2015-17.
Enoch has played in 12 tournaments on the Challenge Tour this year and eight on the DP World Tour. Enoch is coming off a strong showing at the Irish Challenge last week where he finished tied for fifth at 8-under-par 276. The 2012 ASUN Men’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year has won once on the Challenge Tour, which came at the 2019 D+D REAL Slovakia Challenge.
Stewart has played in 14 events on the Challenge Tour but most recently made the cut in his Open Championship debut. Stewart opened with a 3-under 68 and was tied for seventh after round one before finishing tied for 52nd for the tournament. Stewart was a 2009 ASUN champion and ASUN Freshman of the Year award winner.
