Larry Dale Coleman, 72, Hampton, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, July 31, 2023, at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Conlie and Zula Stevens Coleman.
Larry was a graduate of Hampton High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era.
Larry retired after 30 years at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He loved his cattle, hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Feathers Coleman; one son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Holly Coleman, Hampton; a special grandson, Luke Coleman; his brother and sister-in-law, Doyle and Oma Coleman, Hampton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Bill Walsh, Butler, and Theresa and Rick Stoughton, Johnson City; three nieces and their husbands, Carolyn and Kevin Crowe, Melinda and Daniel Arnett and Jennifer and Brian Pierce; one nephew and his wife, Steven and Missy Walsh; and several special cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon Friday, August 4, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, minister, officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 11:20 a.m. Friday, will be Rick Stoughton, Steve Walsh, Johnny Simerly, Kevin Crowe, Daniel Arnett and Kevin Burchett. Military Honors will be provided by DAV Chapter # 39, Bluff City. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11:20 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
