On Saturday, Aug. 5, The Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter (FECCAS) will host the second annual golf tournament at the Elizabethton Golf Course. All proceeds will go toward supporting spay/neuter capabilities in Carter County. Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The entry fee for a team of four players is $240 with mulligan packages available for $25 each. Prizes will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place, Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Putting Contest. The deadline to register for the tournament is Friday, Aug. 3.
“The Friends of the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter believe this golf tournament will not only be a great way to meet fellow golfers but will also be a fun way to help the animals in our community,” says Danny Deal, the Golf Tournament Organizer. “It is very important that we all come together to help reduce the overcrowding in our shelter. Helping with spay and neuter programs in this area will make a big difference.”
The Elizabethton Golf Course is located at 185 Buck Van Huss Road, Elizabethton.
