Johnny H. Gibson, 60, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Johnny was born in Carter County to the late Howard Preston Gibson and Viola Mae (Mossburger) Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donny Gibson and Roger Gibson, and a sister, Carolyn Howington.
Johnny had worked at Jeff’s Paint and Body until he became disabled. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Johnny loved fishing, playing music and spending time with his grandbabies.
Those left to cherish Johnny’s memory include his wife, Donna (Buckles) Gibson; his children, Nathaniel James Gibson and John Harvey Gibson and wife Amber; his grandchildren, Misty Gibson, Tyler Gibson, Jonathon Gibson, Johnna Mae Gibson, Mark Gibson and Brianna Gibson; his sister, Sandra Kay Price and husband Tony; his brother, Dale Dean Gibson and wife Linda; a special great-grandson on the way; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and his special friends, Jeff Guinn and Thomas Thorton.
