Multi-county chase leads to multiple charges for Fall Branch man

JONESBOROUGH – A Fall Branch man is facing two counts of aggravated assault – domestic, two counts aggravated assault, domestic assault-simple, driving on suspended license, evading arrest and reckless driving after an incident that started in Washington County late Sunday night.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, deputies arrested Timothy Neeley, 39, of Fall Branch, shortly before midnight on June 18 after a chase that looped through Sullivan and Greene counties.
The call started when deputies responded to a disturbance in progress on Highway 93, where the complainant/victims were reporting that they were being pursued by Neeley, who was in a vehicle and trying to wreck them. Deputies pursued Neeley, who eventually wrecked in Greene County in a creek along Ryan Road.
Neeley attempted to flee the scene and deputies released K9 Rico to search the area. K9 Rico extricated Neeley from an overgrown embankment near the creek. Deputies were able to subdue Neeley and place him under arrest.
Neeley was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center by Greene County – Greeneville Emergency Medical Services for evaluation and treatment of any injuries that may have been received during his apprehension.
Deputies booked Neeley into the Washington County Detention Center on June 20. His bond is set at $61,000 and his first appearance in court was 1:30 p.m. June 21.
