Margaret Ann Grindstaff Bobbitt, 79, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Virginia Williams Grindstaff.
Margaret was employed at Ivy Hall Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of Charity Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorraine Lippard and Frances Deloach.
Survivors include three children, Terry Bobbitt, Larry Bobbitt and Tracy (Brian) Hopson; four grandchildren, Amanda Greene, Kayla Jimenez, Solita Davis and Breana Davis; three great-grandchildren, Sullivan Greene, Finley Greene and Easton Davis; four brothers, Rev. Carl Grindstaff, Rev. Paul Ray (Sherry) Grindstaff, Lester (Patricia) Grindstaff and Sammy (Melissa) Grindstaff; and one sister, Louise (Estill) Shelby.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 16, in the Deloach Cemetery with her brothers, Rev. Paul Ray Grindstaff and Rev. Carl Grindstaff, officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Friday.
