WCSO charges Morristown man with two counts evading arrest, DUI in multi-county chase

JONESBOROUGH – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended Lance Snodderly, 32, of Morristown, after a multi-jurisdiction pursuit on the evening of June 3.
According to Sheriff Keith Sexton, Washington County Deputies were made aware late Saturday night that a vehicle had fled from the Jonesborough Police Department on Sand Valley Road in Telford. Jonesborough Police were able to provide a detailed description of the vehicle, and Washington County Deputies were able to locate it a short time later traveling on Highway 11E. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle near the Greene County line, and the vehicle again fled.
Deputies pursued the vehicle into Greene County, and with the assistance of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Greeneville Police Department, were able to stop the vehicle on the Old Erwin Highway. Snodderly was the driver of the vehicle.
Snodderly was charged by both Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Jonesborough Police. His charges include two counts of evading arrest, driving under the influence, and two counts of speeding. Snodderly was being held on a $21,000 bond, which he later posted and was released. He appeared in Washington County General Sessions Court on June 5.
