Elizabethton/Carter County Youth Baseball and Softball Association is hosting signups for a Fall Baseball and Softball League. The season will run from August 1^st through the end of October and place a higher emphasis on instruction, with games played on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday to not interfere with football games in the area. Age groups will be as follows: Baseball 6-9 and 10-13 and Softball 6-9 and 10-13. The cost to participate is $50. Please bring cash or check only.

Sign up dates:

Ages 6-13. You do not have to live in carter county to play in this league.

Saturday, 6/3, from 10 am – 2 pm at Lions Field boardroom.

Tuesday, 6/6, from 6 pm – 7:30 pm at the River Riders stadium entrance.

Saturday, 6/17, from 10 am – 2 pm at Lions Field boardroom.

Saturday, 6/24, from 10 am – 2 pm at Lions Field boardroom.

ECCYBS Board member Gary Sams shared why he thinks this is an important step for the league “Since the season started, we have had parents asking about a fall league, we understand that football is king in the fall but there are a lot of kids who don’t play football. There is a lot of excitement about doing this and we know too that it will give kids a chance to be involved in baseball and softball that typically wouldn’t have that opportunity. As of now, these are our only signup dates. We will not meet anyone to sign up. Please don’t bombard the messenger with these same questions.
