Charlotte Elaine Reeser Walker, 65, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born February 23, 1958 in Johnson City to the late Orgil and Ada McInturff Reeser but had lived her entire life in Carter County.
Charlotte was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and attended ETSU and also the University of Phoenix. She was employed at the Johnson City Power Board as a dispatcher. She also worked for the Carter County Sheriff’s Department as a road deputy and dispatcher and also was employed at 911.
Charlotte was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Cloyd.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and April Walker; two grandchildren, Drake Edison Teague and Gunner Ray Walker; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Debbie Reeser; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jim Warlick; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 28, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joe Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in the Patton-Simmons Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be employees and former employees of the Carter County Sheriff’s Department, employees and former employees of 911 and employees of the Johnson City Power Board.
