Geneva Johnson Street celebrated her 100th birthday on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023. She celebrated with her friends and family at First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Roan Mountain. The pastor, Gerran Street, is one of her great-grandchildren.
Geneva married the love of her life, Warren Gene Street, at the age of 21. They had four children, Eugene, Nancy, Esta and Kathy.
She attended Sugar Hollow Freewill Baptist Church until she was no longer able to drive. “God supplies all my needs and always will,” Geneva said.
Her favorite hobby has always been gardening and growing her beautiful flowers. Geneva thanks God for all the blessings of this life.
