Anna Lim Miller, of Morristown, passed away on April 4, 2023. Anna was born in San Antonio, Texas. After she graduated from high school, she went on to study at Baylor University, Texas Christian College, and then attended Southwestern Seminary. In 1962, Anna married Loren Miller to whom she was a devoted wife for 61 years and loving mother to two daughters, Loanne and Tina. While living in Knoxville with her family, she worked and retired from Home Federal Savings and Loan, and then moved with her husband to Morristown. They lived in Morristown for over 25 years. While living there, she taught a ladies Sunday School class at Manley Baptist Church where she and her husband were members. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and saw it as a ministry. This ministry served countless children at Christmas, family members, and fellow residents at Regency Retirement Village. Her specialty was that no two scarves or blankets were the same. All were uniquely colored and could not be replicated in color, pattern, or most importantly, in the specific prayer each was covered with as they were made for whatever special someone would be kept warm by it.
Anna was predeceased by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Loren Miller (eldest son of Reverend Joseph G. Miller); her daughters, Loanne (Richard) Thompson and Tina (Jon L. Jr.) Byrd; her grandchildren, Lesley (Jamison) Price, Wesley Thompson, Bradley (Elizabeth Frahme) Thompson and Mason Byrd; and her brother, Edward (Louise) Lim.
Receiving of friends will be held at Manley Baptist Church on Monday, April 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. with the funeral service to follow. A graveside service will be at Miller Family Cemetery in Butler, Tenn., on Tuesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Manley Baptist Church Building Fund.
Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
