JONESBOROUGH – Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Michelle Marie Martinov, 60, of Bean Station, early the morning of March 27 and charged her with theft from building, simple possession and public intoxication.

Martinov, who worked as a Registered Nurse for Southern Health Partners (the current contracted medical provider for the WCDC), was observed in the parking lot of the Detention Center acting erratically. The initial investigation showed she had needles and prescription drugs in her jacket pocket. The medications were labeled as being from Southern Health Partners for distribution by medical staff inside the Detention Center and were stolen by Martinov for personal use.

She was evaluated by Washington County Emergency Medical Services and then booked into the Washington County Detention Center without incident. Martinov’s bond is set at $2,500 and she appeared in court on March 27.
