Tyler Lee Hurley, 24, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023.
A native of Carter County, he was born January 18, 1999.
Tyler was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and was an employee of Snap-on Tools. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father, William Hurley and his companion Mary Tipton and her children, Darren Shell and Nevaeh Shell; his mother, Leslie Tolley; a brother, Taylor Hurley; a sister, Brooke Hurley; his maternal grandmother, Freida Bowling; and his maternal grandfather, Keith Tolley.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, March 17, in the Silvers Cemetery, Stockton Road, Flag Pond, with the Rev. Frank Osborne officiating. Pallbearers will be Nick Hurley, Lucas Hurley, Alex Hurley, Logan Slone, Cameron Slone, Blake Ashley, Dakota Ashley, Ashton Ashley and Chance Ashley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the graveside service.
