UNICOI — Willa Dean Perry Jacobs was safely carried to heaven on February 4, 2023. She was born and raised in Elizabethton, Tenn., on November 14, 1933.
Willa Dean graduated from Elizabethton High School. She worked in the insurance industry, became a realtor and retired from the American Red Cross. Willa Dean thoroughly enjoyed the NC Coast and could eat her weight in seafood.
Per her request, a graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at Highland Cemetery, Elizabethton, Tenn.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Woodard, Teresa Davis (Frank) and Jack Jacobs (Laura); grandchildren, Jennifer, Freeman, Christian, Lindsey, Isabella, Joshua and Joey; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Cohen, Shaelyn, Wessing, Hunter and Emma; and sister, Janet Winn.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hunter Perry; mother, Bonnie Horton; and daughter, Lana Jacobs.
