Frances Davis Gonzalez, 102, of Elizabethton, on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, concluded her earthly life. Her passing is a great loss because she was a light by which the glory of our Creator was revealed.
Frances was born April 27, 1920 on the family farm near the village of Aullville, Mo. She attended Central Missouri State Teacher’s College. In 1943, she married 2nd Lieutenant William Schooley, U.S. Army Air Corps. They raised three children, Carolyn, Kathryn, and William Jr. They enjoyed a long and loving marriage.
Later in life, Frances married Albert Gonzalez and was greatly blessed in the marriage as well.
Frances was given a heart of exceptional compassion that was infectious. Her life’s mission was caring for her family and her joy was appreciating God’s gifts. She had a sense of humor that was hilarious and she was humble.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Glenna and Willie Davis; her siblings Marie, Joseph, Wylma and Ruth; and her husbands, William and Albert.
She is survived by her brother, Webb, her children, and stepdaughter, Reda, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
