Mitchell Dell Oliver, 31, of Roan Mountain, passed away suddenly on January 25, 2023. He was the son of Lisa Boone. He was preceded in death by both grandfathers, Forrest Boone and Dell Oliver, and a special aunt, Sheila “Spike” Markland.
Mitchell was of the Baptist Faith and loved the Lord. He was a happy, fun-loving, good-looking, outgoing, determined man who was loved by all those that knew him. He loved life and enjoyed doing so many things such as video games, fishing, hunting, football, basketball, snowboarding, four-wheeling, travelling and going up on the Roan. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially his wife and children.
Those that will see him again are his wife, Marche Oliver; children, Alphalee and Samuel; twin brother, Micah Oliver; sister-in-law, Ashley Oliver, and nephew, Maddox Oliver; sister, Ashley Steiner; brother-in-law, Clint Steiner and their children, his nephew, Little Clint, and his niece, Bristol; sister-in-law, Dreama Hughes; nephews, Gavin Birchfield and Zaden Birchfield; mother, Lisa Boone; grandmothers, Louise Boone and Sharon Oliver; mother-in-law, Kim Hughes; father-in-law, BJ Hughes and wife Eve; as well as several other family members and friends that will miss him.
A memorial service to honor the life of Mitchell will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, at the Tetrick Roan Mountain Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all those surrounding them that have offered their kindness, love, support and continuous prayers.
