EHS Cadet basketball entertains crowd during halftime

Young boys only dream about what it will be like to get into high school and play before a large crowd of cheering fans; however, one group of young men got a leg up on that dream during the halftimes of both the Elizabethton girls and boys varsity games against Sullivan East.
Four teams from the newly formed Jr. Cyclone Basketball League took to the floor to show off some of their skills that had the crowd engaged in the eight minutes of action.
And while the score didn’t count or really matter, the teams left it all out on the floor during their time.
While it may be some time before they can take the floor at John Treadway Gym, these young men enjoyed the taste of what it meant to play before a large crowd of Cyclone fans.
The Jr. League boys play games on Saturday at East Side and West Side Elementary while the Jr. Cyclone girls teams play at Hampton Elementary, Cloudland Elementary, and Happy Valley High School.
