Officers of the Elizabethton VFW Post presented Elizabethton High School's Randy Little with a certificate upon being selected as the VFW High School Teacher of Year. He also received a handmade American flag pen and a $50 gift certificate. VFW Middle School Teacher of the Year
Officers of the Elizabethton VFW Post No. 2166 presented T.A. Dugger Junior High School Counselor, Abigail K. Thacker, with a certificate, a handmade American flag ink pen and a $50 gift certificate upon her selection as the Elizabethton Middle School Educator of the Year. Annually, Elizabethton's VFW presents a chosen educator representing elementary, middle, and high school with an award to recognize their outstanding commitment to teach and promote America's history, traditions, and citizenship.
