Trudy H. Pate, 88, (“39” LOL), of 200 W. Doe Avenue, Elizabethton, went to be with Jesus Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Leonard “Leo” Iglowski and the late Gerde Regina Unger.
Born August 28, 1934 in Southern Germany, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Tatiana Pate Baird and Monica Louise Pate.
She is survived by one daughter, Loretta Pate Eubanks, of Inverness, Fla., four grandsons, two granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
Trudy came to the United States with my father, the late “Pete” Pate, on July 4, 1955, and lived in Elizabethton for 68 years.
She worked/managed Pic N Pay Shoes for 35 years. She loved her work and serving the people here. Even unto death she is still serving, for she donated her body to science.
I know that she was dearly loved in the community, and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially me, her daughter.
