Hundreds of people flocked to downtown Elk Avenue for the 2022 Elizabethton Christmas Parade despite the chance of rain for the festive event.
With participants varying from area high school bands, floats, fire trucks, dance teams, and much, much more, the parade kicked off at 6 p.m. and lasted over an hour from start to finish.
Young eyes danced as the parade passed and sugary treats were distributed throughout the parade to those youngsters who watched from both sides of Elk Avenue.
The parade concluded with Santa Claus making a rare early December appearance from the North Pole to wave at those along the parade route.
