Dorsey accepts invite to 2023 Podyum All-Star Bowl

MIAMI, Fla. – East Tennessee State University senior defensive lineman Timmy Dorsey (Oakland, Calif.) has accepted an invite to the 2023 Podyum All-Star Bowl, which was announced over the weekend.

Dorsey played in all 11 games, making five starts for the Bucs this past 2022 season. The Buccaneer defensive lineman finished the year with 21 tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery. Dorsey, who registered at least one tackle in eight of the 11 games, had a career-high 10 hits at The Citadel on Sept. 10. Dorsey posted his fumble recovery against Furman one week later, while adding a half sack against the Paladins. The Oakland, Calif. native had a second half sack against Samford.

During his time in the Blue and Gold, Dorsey totaled 55 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and four sacks in 28 games.

The Podyum All-Star Bowl will be held January 5-8 in Miami Beach. This is an elite collegiate all-star game where NFL, CFL, Indoor and International scouts attend the four-day event. Players from FBS, FCS, DII, DIII and NAIA are selected to participate in the event. Participants will participate in fully padded practices and combine style drills, concluding with the Bowl Game.
