JONESBOROUGH — Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Brian Whittemore, 54, Limestone, on Nov. 30 and charged him with Schedule VI drug violations.
Deputies conducted a routine traffic stop on Highway 81 South and discovered a strong smell of marijuana coming from Whittemore’s vehicle when he rolled down the window. When asked, Whittemore stated he had marijuana in a duffle bag behind his seat. A check on his license revealed it was revoked, and a check behind the seat revealed a total of 3.36 ounces of marijuana packaged in individual baggies packaged for resale.
Whittemore was transported to the Washington County Detention Center without incident, and his bond was set at $10,000. He appeared in Sessions Court on Dec. 1.
