On Nov. 18, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Lauren Arnold, Johnson City, and charged her with burglary.
At 3:34 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting at Walmart, 2915 W. Market St. Loss prevention employees had observed Arnold at the self-checkout register not scanning merchandise. After she was detained, it was found that she had previously been trespassed from all Walmart stores.
Arnold was placed under arrest for burglary. She was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where she is being held in lieu of a $2,500 bond. Arraignment was on Nov. 21 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On Nov. 20, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested John Tucker, Johnson City, and charged him with two counts each of aggravated stalking and contempt of court, along with one count of resisting arrest.
At approximately 4:25 a.m., officers responded to 1400 Orleans St., in reference to Tucker hiding in a closet in the victims’ apartment. Upon arrival, officers located Tucker hiding behind a door and were able to get him into custody after a brief struggle. The residents of the apartment currently have a temporary order of protection against Tucker prohibiting him from having contact with the victims. Tucker had previously been arrested on November 18 for violating the same court orders. Due to his continuous disregard for the court orders, in conjunction with his continued harassment of the victims, he was charged with aggravated stalking.
Tucker was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $23,000 bond. Arraignment was on Nov. 21 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On Nov. 21, at 3:29 a.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a stolen Nissan Frontier. During the investigation, officers identified the driver as Mandy Jones of Blountville. It was discovered she had a suspended driver’s license and, during a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located 8.5 grams of methamphetamines. Jones was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where officers discovered additional methamphetamines concealed on her person.
Jones was charged with theft of property (over $1,000), driving on a suspended license, possession of methamphetamine, and taking contraband into a penal facility. Jones’s bond was set at $6,000. She was arraigned in Washington County General Sessions Court on Nov. 21.
On Nov. 21, investigators of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jerry Blevins, Johnson City, charging him with one count of violation of sex offender registry.
This arrest stems from Blevins failing to update his address as he moved his place of residence without informing investigators of his new location, a requirement of the sex offender registry. Blevins was taken into custody and was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Blevins’ next court date is pending at this time in Washington County General Sessions Court.
