On Nov. 18, Happy Valley High School conducted a ceremony to dedicate a memorial monument to alumni who died in military action.
“We are honored to be able to host this event, and very grateful to the McKeehan and Arnett family for purchasing the monument,” the school’s secretary, Sandy Baggett, said. “Also, we are thankful for all the businesses and people who have worked so hard to make this possible.”
The memorial monument was placed in front of the school and remained covered until the dedication service last Friday. Though the service was not open to the public, the school invited family members to participate.
