Elizabeth Pearl Carr, 88, formerly of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at her home in South Carolina surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Grose of Lafayette, Miss.
Elizabeth was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother and meme to her grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling with her husband where they made countless lifelong friends.
Liz spent her free time crocheting and loved to cook for her family. She dedicated her life to the Lord and prayed every day for her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Henry Martin Carr; great-grandson, Tristan Walker; sister, Frances Bishop; and four brothers, James, Elmer, Robert and Benny Grose.
A graveside service and interment for Elizabeth Pearl Carr will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Johnson City, with Preacher Chuck Babb officiating. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Sinking Creek Baptist Church, 2313 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson City, TN 37601.
