Commander Alan Kent Jenkins, 81, from Roan Mountain, Tenn., passed away on October 29, 2022, after battling valiantly against COVID pneumonia.
Alan was born on March 20, 1941 in Greenville Ohio. He spent 21 years in the Navy making it to the rank of Commander before retiring.
Alan is predeceased by Tommy and Dorothy Jenkins, and brother, Dean Jenkins.
He is survived by wife, Sheena Jenkins; daughters, Sharonda Johnson, Jada Ose, Alana Thomas, Alex Udovich and Noelle Jenkins; sons, Lee Bennett, Lance Bennett, Andrew Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins and Patrick Jenkins; 30 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 12, at 3 p.m. at Magill Memorial Presbyterian Church, Roan Mountain, Tenn.
