Charles William Sutherland, 77, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
Charles enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, golfing, hunting, ginseng hunting and riding his motorcycle. He was admired, respected, loved and was a very caring man.
Charles loved the Lord and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his grandparents, parents, and one son, he was preceded in death by many loved ones.
Those left to cherish his memory are one son, his grandchildren, sister and several close friends who will miss him dearly.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

A service to celebrate the life of Charles William Sutherland will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. The family will receive friends between the hours of 10 and 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends. Alton Metcalf will be serving as honorary pallbearer. The graveside service will follow in the Yost Family Cemetery, Route 637, Cochran Hollow Road, Pounding Mill (Tazewell), VA 24630.
