Bobby Joe Fletcher, 84, Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Hillview Health Center. He was born October 19, 1938 in Carter County to the late Elwood and Flossie Asher Fletcher.
Bobby Joe was a graduate of Unaka High School. He served in the United States Army and was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. He was an active member of Unaka Baptist Church until his illness. He had served as a Deacon since 2005 and also served as a Trustee of the church. He loved to sing and his favorite song to sing was “The Lord’s Prayer.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis Sue Estep Fletcher, who passed away December 1, 2016, and a sister, Patricia Ann Harley.
Survivors include his son, Eric Fletcher; one niece, Kim Ahmadi; and his four legged buddy Tiko.
A service to celebrate the life of Bobby Joe Fletcher will be conducted at Unaka Baptist Church from 1 until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 12, with Pastor Troy Davis officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
