Curtis Wayne Riddle Sr. went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2022. Born January 22, 1945 in Oak Ridge to Ray and Geneva Riddle, Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Dena Riddle, and his brother, Thomas Riddle.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Terressa Anne Riddle; his children, Carolyn Starns (Ken), Richard Riddle (Laura), Clyde Riddle, Sarah Riddle (Katy), and Curtis Riddle Jr.; his sister, Eloise Riddle; many nieces and nephews; his devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog Roxie.
Curtis attended Happy Valley High School in Elizabethton and had retired from A.O. Smith in Johnson City where he had worked since 1979.
Papaw loved his family. He loved golf and football (especially Volunteer football). He loved life. He will be missed and not forgotten.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, November 21, at Midway Presbyterian Church, 4011 Old Jonesboro Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that you instead donate towards St. Jude Children’s Hospital (StJude.org) or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS.org).
