Christine W. Guy, 77, Butler, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Sycamore Shoals  Hospital.  A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late George and Vergie Pearson Potter. She was a faithful member and worker of her church, Stone Mountain Baptist Church, where she served as treasurer, janitor, and decorator.  Her favorite pastime was making quilts for family and friends and baby quilts for those in need. She also loved gardening and had the most beautiful flowers around. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years  Raymond McKinley Guy who passed away December 30, 2020, and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law: Tony Guy of Elizabethton, Terry (Ginger) Guy of Seymour and Todd (Melanie) Guy of Johnson City; her grandchildren: Haley Helton and Tyler, Taylor Arnett and Michael, Matthew Guy, Kelsey Guy, Madison Guy, Benjamin Guy and a great-grandson: Hudson Arnett.  Her Sisters: Betty Colvin and Susie Guy and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Bro. Joe Browning, Jr. officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be in the Abe Trivette Cemetery with Bro. Joe Browning, Jr. and  Bro. Danny Cooke officiating.  Active Pallbearers will be: Scott Potter, Gary Potter, Zack Potter, Jordan Guy, Jimmy Guy and Jason Potter.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.  Condolences may be sent to the family at our website www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
