Luther Delbert Taylor, 76, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Greeneville Hospital East. Luther was born to the late Leonard and Georgia Mae (Finney) Taylor in Elizabethton. In addition to his parents, Luther was preceded in death by a cousin, L.D. Livingston.
Luther was a people person and lived a good life! He loved to craft, paint and go to yard sales. Luther was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and had a profound love for Jesus his Lord.
Those left to remember and cherish Luther’s memory include an aunt, Jo Burchett of Butler, Tenn.; his special cousin and caregiver, Sharon Livingston of Elizabethton; and several other cousins and friends.
A service to celebrate Luther’s life will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 9, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held in the Ensor Cemetery. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to D & S Community Services, 3310 East Andrew Jackson Highway, Greeneville, TN 37745 in memory of Luther.
